A Tang painted pottery model of a horse
standing four square on a rectangular base, its head slightly turned to its left, wearing a saddle and saddle cloth, painted in red and black pigments -- 11.3/8in. (29cms) high, (pigment flaking and general old wear).
Thermoluminescence Test Number C199g52 is consistent with the dating of this lot.
