Edo period (early 19th century), signed Hokkyo Komin saku kore and sealed Komin and with Hamano Noriyuki on an inlaid gold reserve (for the metalwork)
The square-shaped inro decorated in gold hiramaki-e, takamaki-e and kirikane on a kinji ground with a mounted warrior applied in shakudo, gold and copper, the reverse side with scenery of distant hills and with cherry and pine trees in the foreground, the compartments and risers gyobu nashiji, the rims fundame; with bead ojime
