A Tibeto Chinese gilt-wood figure of probably Sariputra
18th/19th century
Carved in standing posture, both hands in front of his breast, formerly holding attributes, wearing skirt held together by a belt and a patchwork overgarment decorated with gesso scrolling and flowers, his face with serene expression, inlaid urna, painted eyes, aquiline nose, red coloured lips, elongated earlobes and black coloured bald head
