Attributed to Maison Franck, Antwerp, Late 19th/Early 20th Century
Of serpentine shape, the bevelled glass with gilt feathered edge and with 'cushioned' tortoiseshell-veneered frame, the canted corners and edges carved with acanthus
24 in. x 36 in. (61 cm. x 91.4 cm)

Lot Essay

The firm of Franck was established in Antwerp during the late 19th century. Frans Franck (d. 1932) succeeded in the family firm and became the most celebrated member of the Maison Franck.
