GREEK, 18TH CENTURY
The central panel in pastel colours, showing the Mother of God of the Rose with two angels above carrying an inscribed garland. The side panels in three registers represent Archangels Michael and Gabriel at the top, Church Fathers and Martyrs in the middle and the equestian Sts. George and Demetrios at the bottom. The inscription IC XC NIKA (Jesus Christ Conquers) and a cross, appear on the outer side of the wings when these are closed.
