A VERY RARE WATCH-MOUNTED GILT-METAL BOTTLE
Circa 1880
Of rounded-square shape, one side mounted with a Swiss gilt-finished, jeweled movement with cylinder escapement, white enamel dial with Roman numerals, pierced-gilt hands, and miniature pearl-set, rim-wound bezel, all encircled by a blossoming prunus branch growing from a rocky embankment bordering crested waves, the blossoms formed from small pearls and minute pink glass beads at the center, the reverse inset with a barometer inscribed with the hallmark H.M., the foot and neck encircled by a border of miniature green glass studs, the hinged stopper inset with a coral bead
