    By Jaques and Son, the rooks and knights stamped with crowns, the black king with damage to the cruciform finial -- 3¼in. (8.2cm.) high, the pawns -- 15/8in. (4.1cm.) high, the wood box with original paper label to the cover; a Victorian bone and stained bone Status Quo chess set, late 19th century, with mahogany box, some pieces lacking; and two other English travel chess sets, late 19th or early 20th century, both with bone pieces, in folding wood boxes, pieces lacking (4)

On the Thursday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
