PROPERTY FROM THE BROWER AND NEWITTS FAMILY COMMISSIONS
In the late 1950s, Ted and Connie Newitts took a trip to New Hope, Pennsylvania where they met George Nakashima in his studio. Enthralled by Nakashima's work, Mr. and Mrs. Newitts wanted to share their dicsovery with their niece and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Brower. In the years that followed, the Newitts and Browers commissioned George Nakashima to create the pieces offered in lots 536-551.
