A well detailed fully planked and rigged model of the RRS 'Discovery' of circa 1901. Built by B.G.Lewis -- 19 x 35in. (48.3 x 89cm).
With bound masts, standing and running rigging, yards with furled sails and deck details including, figurehead, anchors, windlass, deck rails, companionways, hose reels, belaying rails and pins, deck houses, deck lights, stayed funnel,two ship's wheels and six ship's boat, four in davits, with bottom boards and thwarts, boarding ladder and many other details. Finished in black and varnish with white sails. Stand. Glazed case.
