    A WHITE AND BLACK-OVERLAY GLASS JAR-SHAPED SNUFF BOTTLE
    1810-1880
    The bottle is carved through the opaque black and white overlay to the opaque white ground in the shape of a wine jar with woven handles and bands, the body decorated with birds and a blossoming prunus tree, beneath a pendent leaf band on the neck.
    2 1/8 in. (5.4 cm.) high, glass stopper
