A WHITE JADE RECTANGULAR PENDANT 'BOY' PLAQUE
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The plaque is carved in shallow relief with confronted chilong and is decorated to one side with a boy lighting a firecracker. The reverse is carved with the first two lines from the poem yuanri, 'first day of New Year', by Wang Anshi, signed Zigang. The stone is of an even pale tone.
