A WHITE JADE VASE AND LOTUS GROUP
18TH CENTURY
Well carved as a flattened vase with foliate scroll handles and a cover with ropetwist finial raised on a narrow base of waves from which the stems of a lotus plant rise to one side, on the other side a bird grasping a prunus sprig in its beak perches on layered rocks while its mate is in flight on the side of the vase, the semi-translucent stone of pale greenish-white color
