A wood and ivory netsuke of a priest
Late 19th Century
seated in a throne holding a Buddhist sceptre, the head, hands, feet and details of the throne in ivory -- 1 5/8in. (4.1cm.) high; an ivory netsuke of an oni seated cleaning a mokugyo bell beside him -- 1 5/8in. (4.1cm.) wide; and a small ivory okimono of a bijin kneeling and carrying a large Tengu mask on her back, the details stained in red and green, incised Masachika signature to base -- 1 3/8in. (3.6cm.) high, (minor nibbles).
