the front and cover inlaid with mother-of-pearl scrollwork decoration, opening to reveal five mother-of-pearl topped cotton reels, a tortoiseshell tatting shuttle, a incomplete set of mother-of-pearl sewing items, a small collection of brass and aluminium thimbles and other sewing implements, probably English, mid-19th century - length of case 30 cms.
