A ZUNI POLYCHROME JAR
with concave base, full wide body, and high shoulder tapering to a short neck, painted in deep orange and dark brown over a worn chalky white slip, with a series of three large-scale hatched X motifs, each terminating in a verticle stepped arm at bottom, and embellished with triangular and scrolling motifs, alternating with smaller similar motifs, inscribed XZu-66-G and 1950.228
