4o (246 x 197 mm). Calligraphic manuscript title, typescript including a complete list with costs, 45 mounted photographs. Russet half morocco and gilt supra-libros. Provenance: Major Abbey (binding, bookplate), inscribed: "I visited the Provincial Library of Wirttemberg-Baden at Stuttgart on May 15th 1965 and saw my collection of incunabula's [sic]. They were well looked after."
The first step in the dispersal of Abbey's binding collection, shortly before it was consigned to Sotheby's. Abbey Sale, Sixth Portion, 19 Oct. 1970, lot 2640.
