AUTOGRAPH LETTERS AND MANUSCRIPTS
ALBERT (1819-1861), Prince Consort of Victoria. Music manuscript, 'Duet. A March -- said to have been composed by His Royal Highness The Prince Consort about 1847', for piano four hands, the two parts on facing pages, altogether 80 bars on two pages, 4to, some pencil emendations, laid down on paper.
Music was one of the interests that united Albert and Victoria from the beginning of their marriage, and one of the prince's earliest public roles in England was as a director of the Ancient Concerts.
