ALBUM -- An album of 92 fine sepia photographs, mostly formal group portraits of officers from various British and Indian regiments in India including Highland Regiments and Civil Engineers, Ceylon Rifle Regiment, Fusiliers, Dragoon Guards, Hussars, Lancers, 1st Bengal Cavalry, and wider views of military parades, also Simla Club Members, Lord Napier, a shooting party of the 93rd Highlanders, a military band, the photographs taken in Rawul Pindee, Agra, Lucknow, Peschawar, Delhi and elsewhere, each photograph captioned and dated in manuscript between 1863 and 1871, the photographs approx. 220 x 300mm. (a few marginal repairs). Later red half morocco gilt. Provenance: Mark Dineley (armorial label).
