The third catalogue of the Amsterdam Public Library, founded in 1578, and which became the University Library in 1877. The exceedingly rare first catalogue was issued in 1612 and is only known in one copy; the second catalogue was published in 1622. All three catalogues were organized by shelf order of the books in the library beginning with Bibles. The postscript ends with a Latin poem by the Amsterdam poet Cornelis Plemp (d. 1638).
