An 18th century gold mounted neoclassical mourning ring
the oval bezel inset with a hairwork miniature of a grieving lady leaning on a funerary urn under convex glass, the border with engraved decoration, the reverse with inscription 'Wm. MacEwan ob: 2 Feb. 1768', the hoop inscribed 'John MacEwan ob 12 Feb. 1779.'
