Triangular, fitted with three egg-holders and glass hour-glass, with engine-turning and engraved with village scenes, on detachable burner stand, engraved with presentation inscription from Eleanor Roosevelt, marked under base
14in. (35.5cm.) high; 25oz. (788gr.) gross weight
Given by Mrs. Valentine G. Hall, Eleanor Roosevelt's great grandmother, as a wedding gift to Eleanor and Franklin Roosevelt; then given to John A. Roosevelt on the occasion of his marriage in 1938.
This egg boiler is listed as item #107 in Eleanor Roosevelt's Wedding Present Book which is displayed at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library, Hyde Park, New York.
