The octagonal sadeli-mosaic banded top inlaid with a chess-board, four sides with reserves of red and green ovals of studded jewels, above four camphorwood-lined drawers, one fitted with seven lidded wells and four ivory inkwells, another fitted with a pink velvet-lined writing-slope and lidded well, with two further small drawers, on a faceted spreading shaft and shaped quadripartite base and later brass ball feet
