A pair of chairs of similar design and decoration are illustrated, Fig.58, page 131. A set of four setees and two chairs in this manner were sold by E.H.Baldock to George IV in 1828. Jaffer suggests that the 'handling of the ebony suggests that it was made in the Galle District, Ceylon', and probably to orders from London dealers.
