An antique Aksatafa rug, South Caucasus The shaded indigo field with hooked and checkered lozenges, various animals, rosettes and S-motifs around three shaped medallions with tree pendants flanked by large stylised bird at each side, in an ivory border of polychrome hooked panels between barber-pole and reciprocal skittle-patter stripes, slight localized wear, slightly corroded brown, small damages on cord, very small hole and slight staining in one corner 244cm. x 117cm.(8ft. x 3ft.10in.)
