An antique Ziegler carpet, Sultanabad
The shaded light rust field with overall design of angular vine, large serrated leaves, bold polychrome palmettes and angular arabesques together with stylised cruciform motifs, in broad shaded medium blue border of large multicoloured palmettes, meandering floral and leafy vine between ivory floral stripes, outer reciprocal and plain stripes, localized wear, minute damaged at one end, slight localized loss of wool on sides.
