The De Neufville family, formerly of Artois, were renowned Amsterdam merchants dealing primarily in silk. The De Wolff family were also merchants from Amsterdam. This service must either have been ordered for the occasion of the marriage between Pieter Leendert de Neufville (1707-1759) and Catharina de Wolff in 1728 or Leendert de Neufville and Agneta de Wolff in 1724.
