An early 19th Century gold and enamel Napoleon memento
modelled as his sarcophagus containing the carved body of Napoleon in uniform, the casket enamelled in black and white including the legend Mon Fils, Tete D'Armee, France, St Helene 5 Mai 1821, the hinged cover broken away from the casket, enamelled with crown and order, casket base 3.0 cm. x 1.5 cm. later mounted on the lid of a silver gilt cigarette case marked Tiffany & Co.
