An early Victorian gilt-lined cup and cover
on a part-fluted and foliate-chased domed shaped circular foot, the campana-shaped body chased with two vignettes of sailing ships surrounded by rococo flowers, foliage and shells and also applied with scroll handles, each side with a rococo shell and C-scroll cartouche with contemporary presentation inscription, the similarly-chased domed detachable cover with ivy leaf and berry border and rowing boat finial, Hayne & Cater, London 1838 - 11¼in. (28.50cm.), 40.25oz.
