The blade honzukuri, iorimune, chu-gissaki, torii-zori, forging pattern tight itame, tempered edge choji with ashi and nie, maru boshi, tang machi-okuri, 54.2cm; encased in a ribbed black lacquer saya decorated with red maple and cherry blossoms, leather bound tsuka decorated with gilt menuki of dragons Goto style, shibuichi kojiri, fuchi-kashira en suite with cherry blossoms and maple leaves floating in iroe takazogan, the fuchi signed Ikkodo Tomotsune, rounded-square tsuba depicting oni and writhing dragon in iroe takazogan, signed So Toshiyoshi kore zo, 19th Century
