AN EGYPTIAN BRONZE FIGURE OF KHONSU
Late Period to Ptolemaic Period, 664-30 B.C.
Striding forward on a rectangular integral plinth, depicted nude, his left arm held parallel to the body, the right arm bent at the elbow, the index finger to the lips, wearing the Double Crown with the side lock of youth, all four sides of the plinth inscribed in hieroglyphs, reading, in part, "May Khonsu give life to...the son of the prophet of Amun..."
