In the middle of the boat a standing samurai flanked by a kneeling woman beating a hand-drum and a seated young girl, their kimono and the sides of the boat finely decorated in iroe hiramakie and gold with aogai, hirame, gyobu and nashiji details, the heads and hands in ivory (crack to the lacquer around the bow, small chip)
