This prestigious firm of jewellers was founded during the 19th century in the heart of Florence's jewellery district. They soon became the leading Florentine jeweller and undertook commissions for the nobility as well as for the Italian Royal Family. Nowadays the firm is run by the Settepassi family who aquired the company, which was based in Milan, in 1961, they were very well suited to take over Faraone as the Settepassi's have been jewellers since the 16th Century and originally were members of the 'l'arte di por Santa Maria'.
In 1989, Tiffany and Co purchased Faraone and with their subsequent expansion they have shops in Japan, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Bahrain. Although owned by an American company the firm is still directed by Cesare Settepassi and his wife Paola, they ridgidly maintain the tradition of producing high quality and individual pieces. Faraone have their own workshops which combine many years experience with innovative production methods, the result of which is a range of highly acclaimed jewellery.
