The arched case surmounted by a crossed horn and trumpet trophy mount and a musical score, with relief mount to the front depicting female figures representing the Arts, flanked by the standing figure of a classical youth wearing a toga and holding a lyre, the rectangular base with anthemion cast gallery and now mounted on an associated marmo verde antico plinth with milled bell-shaped feet, the white enamel Roman dial with steel moon hands (chipping to winding holes), twin barrel movement with silk suspension and countwheel strike on bell; case re-gilt
