An exhibition standard 5in. gauge model of the G.N.R. Stirling Single No. 5,
built by J.F. Adams, 1971, with brazed copper boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, valve chest pressure gauge, safety, blower, injector, steam brake, clack and blowdown valves and regulator lever with butterfly lock nut. Chassis details include outside cylinders with inside Stephenson's link reverse with weighted way shaft, foot plate controlled drain cocks, mechanical lubricator, eccentric driven feed pump and by-pass, injector, steam operated brake gear, lubricator boxes and pipes and dummy sanding gear. Additional details include fine riveting, fletched buffer beam, dummy whistle, steps, hand and lamp irons. Tender details include hand feed pump, hand operated brake gear, fletched buffer beam, water cock, steps, hand and lamp irons, finished in finely lined G.N.R. livery (some minor paint loss) -- 14½ x 55½in.
