With tapering sighted barrel, the breech section finely chiselled in relief with rococo ornament involving foliage and bouquets and a basket of flowers on a hatched gilt ground, tang en suite, signed flat lock decorated en suite and with stepped tail, the pan with water-drains, moulded figured walnut full stock carved in relief with rococo ornament behind the barrel tang and rear ramrod-pipe (minor defects, fore-end cracked), the grip inlaid with silver wire scrolls heightened with dots, iron mounts finely chiselled in relief with further rococo decoration, escutcheon en suite, horn fore-end cap, and original horn-tipped ramrod (some minor pitting and discolouration, some minor wear to chiselled decoration and gilding)
