    Edo Period (Early 18th Century)
    Decorated in iron-red enamel and gilt on underglaze blue with a vase on a terrace filled with a rich bouquet of peonies and chrysanthemum, the broad rim with three shaped panels of exotic flowers divided by chrysanthemum-heads on a dark-blue ground, the reverse with sprays of cherry-blossom (rubbing to the gilt)
