    The deep bowl with a wide rim decorated in iron-red, black enamels and gilt on underglaze blue with a central panel containing a peony emerging from a vase surrounded by three lotus-petal panels depicting ladies in elaborate kimonos between sprays of chrysanthemum, the reverse with sprays of peony, camellia and chrysanthemum
