Casket form, on four ball feet, with columnar supported corners above, with wood covered open base, the front with three applied panels, the central panel engraved with Sassoon coat-of-arms, crest and motto, and banner in Hebrew above, flanked by two panels of architecture, the other side engraved PRESENTED TO SIR JACOB SASSOON BARONET AT THE ENTERTAINMENT GIVEN TO HIM BY THE JEWISH COMMUNITY OF BOMBAY IN HONOR OF THE BARONETCY CONFERRED ON HIM BY HIS MAJESTY THE KING EMPEROR BOMBAY 17TH JANUARY 1909, the rising, flat topped, hinged cover with Sassoon crest finial, in wood framed, glass case, the casket--15in.
