Flattened globular box, the cover centred with a quatrefoil reserve of a bird of prey in a tree leaning towards a seated hare, the outer border inlaid with rocaille and latticework in piqué, the base with central reserve of stamped flower-heads surround by six panels of alternating animals and trophies of music with rocaille and latticework in piqué, plain gold everted thumbpiece
