An ivory okimono of three warriors
Meiji Period
carved with two fighting with each other whilst one holds a further figure aloft -- 7½in. (19cm.) high; two further carvings of warriors both weilding weapons over their shoulders and standing on rockwork -- 6¼in. (15.9cm.) max. high; an okimono of a street entertainer with five oni on his shoulder and around his feet -- 6½in. (16.5cm.) high; an okimono of a bearded immortal holding a gnarled staff with gourd attached, standing on rockwork with one leg raised -- 6¼in. (15.8cm.) high; another ivory okimono of a steet entertainer holding a closed parasol with one leg raised beside a small rat in a censer -- 4¾in. (12cm.) high; and another okimono of a carpenter, carved seated holding his tools and some wood -- 2 7/8in. (7.3cm.) high, (some losses and damages).
