AN OBLONG JADEITE AND CORAL-MOUNTED EDWARD I FARMER SILVER BOX
19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The box is embellished with six jadeite belthooks in two sizes, each with dragon-head terminals and qilong shafts. The lidded cover has a carved and incised coral panel decorated with phoenix and bats flanking a central shou character inset between two jadeite panels. The base is stamped Edward I Farmer, New York, Sterling.
12¾ in . (32.2 cm.) diam.
