Centering upon an old European-cut diamond peacock, with pavé-set demantoid garnet head, enhanced by circular-cut ruby crest, and cabochon ruby accent eye, extending old European-cut diamond, sapphire and demantoid garnet wings, and extending old European-cut diamond, peridot, ruby, sapphire and pearl tail, surmounted by three pear-shaped peridots, perched on an old European-cut diamond, sapphire and pearl double bow, suspending a cushion-cut ruby, pearl and oval-cut peridot drop, enhanced by old European-cut diamonds, mounted in gold and silver; and a fancy link gold chain (tail and bow sections detach for peacock to be worn alone), circa 1890, chain 15 1/8 ins., in a fitted velvet case
