An Unusual Cased 100-Bore French D.B. Single-Trigger Saw-Handled Percussion Pistol

With browned octagonal sighted barrels polygroove rifled, signed in full on the breech, and stamped with serial number and date on the underside, case-hardened patent breeches engraved with scrolls, flowers and foliage, tang, locks and mounts en suite, the first incorporating the back-sight, folding trigger (incomplete), half-stock (cracked) carved with foliage above the chequered grip, oval pommel incorporating the ramrod, and some original finish: in original fitted case lined in burgundy velvet, with accessories including Dixon three-way flask, the lid with stamped and gilt signature, the outside with brass stringing and shaped escutcheon engraved with owner's monogram 'LA', a coronet above
