The watch, with chased and engraved gilt-finished lever movement, plain steel balance with screws and blued steel halberd-style weights, glazed cuvette, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, blued steel spoon hands, centre seconds, removable from a silver case with scalloped edge, engraved and enamelled with various auspicious motifs, each hinged half-lid engraved and enamelled with a bat representing good fortune and flowers, with carved fish clasps, opening to reveal two empty compartments and a well with beaded bezel to hold the watch, unsigned
