Engraved frontispiece map, title and 44 maps, 25 hand-coloured in outline. (Lower margin of first gathering narrower, a few short clean marginal tears, some light offsetting, very lightly browned.) Contemporary calf (extremities slightly rubbed). FIRST EDITION.
CARY, John (c.1754-1835). Actual Survey of the Country Fifteen Miles round London, London: for J. Cary, 20 June 1786. 8° (185 x 12mm.). Engraved double-page frontispiece map, engraved title, and 50 maps, hand-coloured in outline. (Some light offsetting, frontispiece cleanly torn along centre fold, one plate torn at inner gutter.) Contemporary half calf (rebacked with old lettering piece partly relaid, corners bumped, rubbed). FIRST EDITION. Fordham p.22.
