Half-sheet 8vo, bluish-turqouise oasis morocco, covers with spiral design of blind gougework alternating with tiny gold-tooled bubbles between the blind lines, the spiral converging on a central roundel composed of two gilt fish symmetrically arranged and joined by a hooked line, small gilt bubbles emerging from the fish, the design continuing onto the endleaves, spine lettered in gilt, t.e.g., by Roger Powell, with his monogrammed blind-stamp on lower turn-in; faint offset from turn-ins onto endleaves; matching half morocco felt-lined chemise (backstrip faded) and slipcase. LIMITED EDITION, one of 150 copies (125 for sale) on paper from the edition of 175 (145 for sale), printed in Subiaco type in black, except for the single opening four-line initial in red, full-page frontispiece woodcut, 6 small text woodcuts of fishing equipment, copied from the original Wynkyn de Worde edition of 1496, woodcut printer's mark C. Loosely inserted is a typed description by Roger Powell of the binding "in chronological order of the binding operations," signed by Powell in ink, dated Froxfield, October 1958, 1 page, 8vo, on Powell's letterhead stationery.
