D'Hulst describes this as a copy of Jordaens' painting of the 1650s in the Museum of the Commissie voor de Openbare Onderstand, Antwerp. Pierre Crozat had eigtheen drawings by Jordaens, a number of which are still recorded by R.A. d'Hulst, op. cit., nos. A176, A177, A320, A377, A410, figs. 188, 189, 337, 396, 430.
