32 numbers in 1, oblong 4o. Numerous plates and photographic illustrations in text, including extensive folding panorama of the exposition. Near contemporary quarter morocco, all original wrappers bound in.
The complete series: the first 20 livraisons comprise the first volume and include over 300 illustrations. The final ten livraisons, published in 1901, constitute a second volume on Beaux-Arts and Expositions Rétrospectives. A very richly illustrated journal, Le Panorama provides a virtual encyclopedia of the exposition and the social milieu. The wrappers contain a multitude of advertisements, themselves a rich source of historical information. Illustrations of Art Nouveau furniture, room settings and designs are of particular note. The photos were taken by the leading French studio Neurdein Frères.
