BEROALDUS, Philippus (1453-1505). Declamatio ebriosi, scortatoris et aleatoris. Bologna: Benedictus Hectoris, 1499.
Chancery 4° (210 x 150mm). Roman and Greek types, printer's device at end, initial spaces with guide-letter. 19th-century vellum-backed marbled boards, red edges.
Second edition of a satirical debate between a drunkard, a gambler and a pimp. It is one of two editions so nearly identical that Proctor did not distinguish between them, but the admixture of majuscules from type 114R indicate that the present edition is the second, not the first. GW 4131; BMC VI, 845; Klebs 184.1, var.; Simon, Bib. Bacchica, 172; Goff B-472.
