SECOND FOLIO EDITION OF THE AUTHORISED VERSION OF THE KING JAMES'S BIBLE, also known as the "Great She Bible" for the more correct reading 'She went into the citie' in Ruth iii 15, but with the misprint in Matt xxvi 36, where 'Judas' appears for 'Jesus'. No new English translation was produced until the Revised Version of 1881 and the Authorised Version, the work of over 40 translators divided into five committees based at Oxford, Cambridge and London, undoubtedly has a greater influence on written and spoken English than any other book.
